Kogarah, Hurstville and towards the river.
Georges River Council was formed in 2016 from the former Hurstville and Kogarah councils. It stretches from Riverwood and Kingsgrove in the north down to the Georges River foreshore.
It's largely an area of family homes. At the 2021 Census, about 52% of occupied homes were separate houses, 36% were flats or apartments and 11% were semi-detached, terrace or townhouse dwellings. About a third of homes were owned outright (ABS 2021 Census QuickStats).
Apartment buildings are concentrated around the Hurstville and Kogarah centres. Further out, the streets are mostly freestanding houses with gardens, garages and outdoor living areas, and that shapes the kind of electrical work people need.
